Nish’s journey into electronic music began while studying abroad in Spain. Originally from a small town in Tennessee, he found himself immersed in Europe’s club culture—specifically Ibiza’s iconic venues like Amnesia and Hi. The night that changed everything? A Martinez Brothers set that planted the seed for his love of groove-heavy minimal tech.

Self-Taught & Fast-Tracked

Returning to the U.S., Nish picked up DJing with no formal training—just passion and persistence. He started spinning college parties and within a year found himself opening for the same acts he once idolized: Dombresky, John Summit, Solardo, and the Martinez Brothers themselves. CDJs came early thanks to a loan from a close friend, and he quickly evolved his technical skills by learning on pro-grade gear.

From DJ to Producer

After a few years behind the decks, Nish transitioned into production, self-teaching via YouTube and eventually studying under Daniel Orpi. He’s since developed a hybrid live setup involving Traktor, Ableton, and drum machines—allowing him to create custom loops and textures on the fly. For Nish, groove starts with crisp drums and well-placed percussion, not just basslines.

The Sound & Setup

Nish describes his style as “minimal and tech house with underground flavor—raw grooves, deep rhythm, and just enough flare to keep you moving.” He draws influence from heavyweights like Michael Bibi, Dennis Cruz, Marco Carola, and Carl Cox. His ideal setup? A Model 1 mixer, K2 controllers, Traktor F1, Ableton Push, and 5+ channel integration—perfect for building dynamic, evolving sets.

Artist Wisdom

When asked what advice he’d give emerging artists, Nish kept it simple:

“Collaboration. That one word has changed everything for me. It’s how you grow, build your brand, and turn ideas into reality.”

What’s Next

With his birthday set, July 4th Groove Palace performance, and a new batch of unreleased originals queued up, Nish is gearing up for a breakout stretch. He’s planning to move closer to Miami to reconnect with the local scene and is ready to shift from being just another name on a lineup to becoming a recognizable force in the minimal and tech house world.
